Looking to were get best the price in nothern Nevada or nothern California (otd). it seem the prices on the west are alot more than the east coast? any input would be great. Good or bad and any shops to stay away from . Thanks

Any help would great . Come guys I know you can help me out !!!!!

I would try a search on it.

well I dont live in nevada, but I can tell you I paid 6650.00 otd at yamaha cucamonga in socal. It worked out to about 6100.00 without fees.I dont know if you know it or not,but yamaha has a 200.00 cash back on the 2006-2007 yz450 and 400.00 cash back on yz250 2-s.Had I waited 2 weeks I would of saved another 200.00.:banghead:I know with you living in nevada this info may not help much, but it at least gives you an idea what price you can start with when youre negotiating at the dealer.Regardless what price you pay you will love this bike.I have only had a chance to ride my bike 2 times so far,but I can say so far I am quite impressed with the 2007 yz450.Good luck.

I just bought a 06 450 and paid 49xx for it OTD.

Look on cycletarder. The dealer I bought from was in Ga Fort something????

RT cycles.

It does not help you a whole lot in california but pro cycle in missouri is selling 07 OTD for $5800. damn good deal!!!:confused:

will at least be good for a laugh when the sales guy is selling them for sticker and he tells you they are only making a few hundred on each bike

I paid $6,200 OTD for 50TH model Could have paid 5,900 for a blue one at John Burr in So Cal.

Just Paid $5800 OTD In Oregon for an 06' , they were asking about a $1000 more for the 07'

you are so lucky!!!!!

here in PORTUGAL the 06 YZ450 costs about 8253€. on an exchange rate of 1.300( acording to CNNMONEY), it´s sommething like 10728.90 USD(OTD?). still got 753€ discount( 979 USD)

if I would even pay 6500 dolars it sould be like 5000€.

I think I´ll start ordering my bikes from the US

if you are in northern nevada you could take a little drive to delta utah. i just picked up an 07 yz450 there for 6600 OTD. they also have the kx and ktm 450. place is called delta sports center.

I just picked up an '06 YZ450 for $5,800 otd in Kanab Utah or I could have gotten an '07 for $6500. I opted for the '06, did the important changes yamaha did to the '07 for $10 and used the left over money to buy a bunch of goodies plus some new Gaerne SG10s.

I'll second Delta Sports Center in Delta, UT. I grew up there and have bought all my bikes there. The mechanic, Scott, is spot on and Kevin, the owner, is as fair as you'll find. I'm sure you can find a better price, but not by much. Also, you'll be hard pressed to get the same customer service somewhere else.

Their phone number is (435) 864-3432

I can't say the same for the mechanic where I bought mine. First the chain was way too loose so I said is that according to spec? He took it back in the shop and adjusted it to 3/4" slack and said that's what the manual says. I just took it and adjusted it myself. Then I chainged the oil after the 1st hour and thankfully checked the air filter just to be safe. Not one drop of filter oil or grease around the seal. All I can say is whoever you buy from, check out the specs well when you get the bike home.

It's nice to have someone you can trust. I have taken every dirt bike / road bike / 4 wheeler that I bought and gone straight to riding. People always want the rock bottom price, but you usually have to sacrifice some service to get the price.

The best price otd so far is $5999 on cycletrader. The dealer is in ILL. and shipping is about $400.00. I would prefer to get one a little closer . Thats for an 07 450

That's not a bad price! See if they'll split part of the shipping.

Bear in mind, once again, that if you live somewhere like California, you will pay another $450 in "use tax" when you go to register it because no sales tax was collected at the point of sale. All of a sudden, $6600 OTD in CA doesn't look like such a bad deal.

Do most of you guys register yours? I plated my WR in AZ but wasn't planning on even registering my YZ since I won't be riding the streets much. Just curious as I know CA is brutal when it comes to offroad vehicles.

If you never take the bike onto public land at all, as in it's a pure racer, and you only practice on your own property or at the track, you don't have to register it. Otherwise you do, and in the case that you are ever challenged to show ownership, it's a lot easier with the state issued docs. Makes selling it simpler, too.

The registration fees are only $50, though. It's the tax that they hit you with. Fortunately, on OHV's, you only pay for that when you buy the bike, either as sales tax, or at the DMV, if you bought out of state, or from a private party.
