Edelbrcok @ Altitude?

2 posts in this topic

Just pulled the plug on an 3115 Edelbrock kit for my XR650R.

opened airbox

freeflow exhaust

15/48 gearing

I'm in Denver, Colorado so my riding will be between 6K & 10K.

What is a good base set up for the Edelbrcock at this altitude. Should I start w/ a leaner needle right off the bat or just work w/ the clocks.

Thanks Dan

I have done a bit of riding in CO up to 14,000 ft. on Edelbrock equipped bikes, '97 XR628, '03 XR650R, '00 WR400 and '01 XR400. I didn't have to change the needle on any of them, just used the top mounted needle adjuster with the standard needle.
