cutting out at initial throttle

1 post in this topic

I am an owner of a 98 wr400.I am having a problem with the bike falling on its face when I wack the throttle to take off or coming out of a corner. This is very annoying because the bike hits when Im not prepared for it,and has almost caused me a few times over the bars. The motor was recently rebuilt(the bike did it before the rebuild)and while it was apart the carb was torn down and cleaned(what a nightmare).I was told by a friend to try advancing the accelerator pump, this helped his yzf400,but it did nothing for my bike.I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem,or if maybe someone had some ideas to help me out.The bike has a FMF powercore 4 pipe on it,just the silencer not the header.Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)
