XR's only Beware

they have good to me as well.

it seems the only people who deal with them live on west coast because they could drive there i get there money back or there stuff,us past that one days drive there get screwed more i'll bet i done the same places an order and no product even after phone calls and emails , use a credit card to pay if you are leary or send money order if you really feel lucky,and i mean really lucky. at least you know you can get your money back with the credit card.

i dont recomend him to anybody unless you live with in a days drive of him.:worthy:

And once again(and I live on the east coast) no problem with them. And they seem to make some things no one else will.

There might be a problem when you have this much trouble from one company. Most of these threads do have one or two guys that say they had a good out come, some work for XR's Only, some don't but, for the most part everyone else has had nothing but trouble.

Someone really has too much time on their hands. BWB63 started the best and 1st biggest bashing ever.:ride: These days if a company messes up, beware, someone will try and kill you over a backordered part.:prof: Backorders will happen. Note::cry: If you ever order a part have the salesman check stock, and get their name, and make sure you give them your contact information before hanging up. Internet orders, you should always remember to keep your order # and follow up with a phone call within a day. Sometimes it may take a day before they can reply. I know because I work with people online and Ebay and I make sure customers are fully aware of backorders and availability. NO Motorcycle shop is perfect and not every customer is always right:excuseme: Give some of us credit and try not to bash businesses too much unless you really get screwed. :D

I would give them a chance. They know and are aware of these threads and are trying to make it right for all customers.

Wow, it looks like either a love or hate relationship with XR's Only. Guess I've been lucky, ordered from them a few times, never a problem. As for Rideaide, e-mailed him about a pipe, promptly got a e-mail back letting me know the price and that it was in stock. Set up payment, part was delivered next day.

Here, here! Well said and he has made everything right by me for all my orders for an out-dated POS BRP! Unless you totally got screw out of hard cash or parts, Which I have had this happen with another vendor that went out of business and took about few hundred peoples money and skipped town with no word, no phone calls, no e-mail message, and NO PARTS shipped out.

I personally want to buy around a 1000 dollers worth of parts from them, but im worried they might screw my order up.. I live here in Kuwait and i hear they like to mess up peoples orders just because some sales guy thought it might be funny to do.. Iv called before to make a order and got the phone hung up on me 3 times, after all im making a expensive over sea's call to get the phone hung up on me. To me it looks like there digging there own grave. I think if you complain here on thumpertalk it will help people think twice before making such expensive mistakes.

I think the best bet is to know who own's XR'S Only, it might be AL Bakers son's daughters wife or who ever and let them know what these people at XR'S only are doing.

If i owned that company id fire the entire staff and shut that shop down for a month or 2 to get things back on track..

Finally! This is getting old! There have been two who have tried to help out on this post, "chpxr" (Rob) and now "rideaide". This bitch is getting old, so all complanits with XR's Only should be addressed to rideaide. I believe we all get it by now. XR owners are probably the hardest to deal with, because if it is not as perfect as the bike they bought they probably will not be happy..:D:prof::worthy:

Well As far as overseas calling I have called and recieved calls from Rhyad from my stepdad and we get disconnected regularly. Email is easier from over there.

Seems like from what we have heard is they don't like to answere emails. I have always delt with them direct.

yea i ordered a xr 200 header on september 3 and they said 2 weeks and i called them a month later and they said they would ship it right out called back 2 weeks later its on back order called back today and canceled it.

What year XR200? I just sold 2 complete systems for 86-2002 models to my customer and bought them from XR's Only. Customers are very happy.:worthy:

So far every dealing I've had with them has been good. Granted it's always been in person or over the phone. Right this minute, they are planning to wait after hours for my buddy to get there from Vegas to get a last minute, much needed part. Can't ask for more than that myself.

I've had two orders in the last month, and both have gone extremely well. The first order, they were out of stock on one item, and said they'd call me as soon as it was in. They called back later that week and shipped it out, had it in my hands 2 days later. 2nd order was even better. Ordered it on Wednesday morning and had it in my office on Friday afternoon.

Someone else bought out the company, I have been using them reluctantly for over 10 years, they went downhill in the late 90s. They are fine if you get or have done one or two things but if theres a whole list of stuff THEY will forget stuff.

One example is when i sent my xr628 top end to get freshen up, they sent me stock piston rings and no valve cover, sure they sent it red lable but my weekend was done. another time they sent me a stock head gasket and forgot the base gasket

on the plus side they did a nice job saving my wiped out cam journal, and when they get it right, its right

There are a few that work for Xr's only here and a few that are sponcered by them. Some race with the guys that work there. They will always see nothing but good. Some others that have been screwed and lied to will see nothing but bad. The bottom line is they, know they have screwed up and I hope they have fixed it. Firing the lying, good for nothing manager would have been a good start and it might have happened :thumbsup: The one that told me to go ahead and tell the world on the internet what a joke XR's Only's was wouldn't hurt them one bit. Well maybe it didn't, maybe it did. I just hope they have fixed it.......I gave them another chance, I didn't get my Heavy duty Clutch springs I ordered. I gave up and bought the springs (XR's Only's heavy duty XR650R clutch springs) from Redlands Honda, They (XR's Only) sell some great stuff!

I have had minor problems with XR's Only and they have been more than helpful with getting the error corrected. I have delt with many shady and illegitamte companies before. And I am aware of XR's past reputation and they really seem to try to help out by leaps and bounds these days. So far all my dealings have been very satisfactory and I will continue to do business with them even more so when I get my new XR650L soon! This company apparently has had some difficult times and I feel for one that they have gained my respect as they went way out of their way to get me stuff that is no longer availble anywhere for my tired ole 84 XL600R!!! And NO I DONT WORK FOR THEM, OR SPONSORED BY EITHER!!! I wished they would sponsor my bike so I didnt have to pay for all these parts!!! LOL!
