2007 XR650L what do you think

Seems like a decent deal. The "buy it now" price is about $1000 below MSRP and it has a couple of extras that are noticable. Besides the hand guards, it has a smog block off kit installed.

I bought my brand new 06 for $4999 plus tax. The seat looks old, it's pink ? I'd ask a few questions.

Personally, i would pay the extra to buy a NEW one so that i new the entire history and got a warranty!

Thats my .02

the bike looks nice, did they do any carb mod? I bought a new 06 in early october of 06 for 4200 plus tax and tags.good luck on your choice.

zoom-zoom-zoom :-) I don't think you could go wrong!

I got mine in october for $5400. 'Course, add all the tax, title, license, state reg. etc, $6142 out the door. If the shipping won't be much, probably decent deal. Otherwise, check with your local dealer. When I drooled and peed a little on mine, he dropped the price...

The discolored seat cover makes me think someone used bleach or another harsh chemical to clean it? Looks good other than the seat though, I think I would contact the seller, ask some questions, if I got the right answers would make a reasonable offer, say around $4500.

Got my '07 for $5800 - out the door with 4 yr. warranty for $6400.

I like your skid plat Phuzz. Where'd ya get it?

Adamsvh67--

It's a Moose skid for the 650L. I think it cost around $65-70, so kinda pricey, but it seems sturdy.

Right on. Just ordered one from denniskirk. Threw in a larger rear sprocket and oil filter while I was at it.

Thanks

Adam

Hey Noah837 where did you get your bike for that price? If that is really what you paid the dealer took a $600.00 loss:confused:

It's a great bike for being unchanged for over the last decade. Tech wise, it dates back to the eighties. For the money, one should look at a DRZ400S. You would get a lighter bike with more modern equipment and more power. Honda has been milking this XR650L for way too long. The biggest motorcycle manufacturer should be ashamed for not providing the public with a more modern dualsport.

I agree, and really, realllly wish Honda would create a state-of-the-art DS bike(modern, light weight, low-maintenance, great power:weight, etc.), or even a DS line (like a 125/200, 400, and a 600/700). But as it stands, the L is still a good mount, and Honda will continue to make what sells.

Also, look at the market "competition" it has...the DS650 and the KLR650? _Any_ improvement to the L would smoke that market segment.
