YZ250F 2004 Rear Master Cylinder to YZ426F 2000

Hi Guys,

Just thought i would share some of my expierance with you.

I just upgraded my YZ426F rear brake master cylinder to a YZ250F 2004 model master cylinder. The 04 model one is a one piece construction and does not utilize the plastic reservior. It bolts streight into the 2000 model without any problems without any cutting or welding etc. The only thing you have to remember is that if you want to take the top off you have to take the top allen key bolt out and tilt the master back a little to get to the screws. Other than that its a very sweet mod and mean no more broken plastic master cylinder resiovoirs :p

cheers

I did the same thing with my '01 250F, but it was necessary to remove the tab that had originally held the reservoir in place on the sub frame. Otherwise, it worked out perfectly.

Ahh its good too see someone else has had success with another bike, the slight differances in the subframe as noticeable then. I think there was ruffly 1/2inch gap between the top of the reservoir and the old mounting tab on my '00 YZ426F.

no doubt a great mod. Here is a pic of my YZ426 just before I sold it....I upgraded the rear brake MC when I did the YZ450 conversion.
