05 Wheels on an 06?

4 posts in this topic

Will the 05 wheels (hubs) swap right over to an 06 without any mods/shims?

I got to wondering after the thread on th 04 trees stated that the fork spacing was 2mm narrower.

Got good torque wrenches, dial indicators, Starret micrometer set, evne a truing stand for pre- 1970 Harley big twin fly-wheels,... but can't find my stinkin ruler... time to clean the garage or head to the hardware store...:p:bonk:

Thanks

You need to read it a little more thoroughly:
... The fork tubes are set 2mm farther apart. They made it possible to use the same wheel /axle/spacers by setting each axle lug inward 1mm to compensate for it.
