04 wr 450 motor noise is this normal

just bought a 2004 wr 450 new from dealer. sounds like a rattel noise from lowerend when in neutral giving it a little gas is this normal ??

Hard to say. My '04 makes a certain amount of noise when doing that. But I wouldn't call it a "rattle". Run by the dealer's and have them take a listen.

Ive got an 06, and it is the most noisiest engine I have ever heard. Its from the cam chain, or so I ve been told. Runs great!

or it could be the clutch plates rattling.........if it goes away when you pull in the clutch, that's what it is and it is normal......sometimes after a fresh oil change, its not as noticeable but will soon be back......no worry.
