I have never noticed any sound when i'm riding but with the bike on the stand today after it was warm i could hear it.Sounds like a chatter i dont know how to describe it.Has anyone else noticed this?I could pull in the lever a few times and it would go away.

Idling in neutral, right? A rattling, growling noise? Gearbox rattle, nothing more. Normal. What's more, even the older ones do it, although skid plates and aluminum frames exaggerate such sounds.

The engine does not run at a steady speed at idle, but accelerates each time it fires, then slows at each compression stroke. That is transmitted through the clutch to the transmission, where it rattles the gears back and forth. When you pull the clutch in, the trans is released, and stops rattling.
