You should correctly jet your bike and also cut the grey wire.

I done mine, with the other free type mods and Indy's jetting, and it's all good stuff, worth doing.........

Yes they do. My '06 450 has/had one.

Earlier European / UK model 400s did not.

YES, the EURO version has a grey wire - its fitted to all the 06 versions at least.

The only appreciable difference with the EURO version is lighter springs, YES, the AUSSIE and USA gets stiffer springs. The std damper settings are altered accordingly. All else is pretty much the same.:cheers:

Yes it is in the plug under the tank. Check thumperfaq.com it is the same on the 250 so the info is valid. WR Dave

My 03 wr450 has a grey wire (UK Model). I have disconected it.

It is my understanding that the Canadian and Aussie 426 versions are the same. My Canadian version Did Not have a grey wire. It also comes with a differnt Needle and YZ throttle stop.
