XR600 for $2300?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger Friday on a local 97 XR600, running good with new plastic. Seller is asking $2,300 does that sound reasonable?

It seems a touch high to me, especially since the riding season is all but over (for most people anyway).

I got my 1999 600 for $2,000 in the spring (original down to tires, oil, bars, etc).

$2300 is a bit steep I think about $1600-$1800.00 would be fair. Any more and you could find a XR650!

I bought my 96 with a new al Baker 630cc engine for $1600. And it also had a butt load of aftermarket parts on it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it turns out the 600 doesn't run so hot so the deal is off.
