I dont know if this is old news or not but....

It seems that Athena (?) makes a 310 (actually is 298cc) kit for all TC/TE250 from 2004 to 2007 !

Bore goes to 83mm and stroke remains 55mm...

If it really exists it is the best kept secret out there. Also if it exists and it is reasonably priced and the cat is out of the bag they better tool up because 50% of the guys with a 250 will be calling them tomorrow.

Babel Fish says:

Immediately the kit of 310 available for all Husqvarna models 250 is. Thus for all TC and width unit year of construction 2004 - 2007. The kit contains cylinders, pistons and seal and comes from Athena (without ABE). With the kit the drilling from 76 mm was increased to 83 mm. The stroke remains the same. Thus a capacity of 297,4 ccm results. The price of a finished converted width unit 250 04 amounts to 5,995, - € inclusive additional expenses and 16 % VAT available with each Husqvarna dealer, as long as supply is enough. The kit costs 585 individually, - - €

If someone starts selling these in the US (hint, hint) I'm in trouble - well, my bank account is.

VAT is usually added to local purchases only, there was some confusing about this with a German Laverda parts seller,he was charging it and should have not been to over seas buyers.

It looks to me like this is a new kit just released. I searched for a source but came up empty. Where do we send cash for power? Help I want one!

This could even help out with the gearing issues by providing more low end to pull a higher gear. Sign me up.

Looks like it was dated october 6, so I guess it's a mater of time. I thought that the Uptite kit would have been done by now. Imagine if we move our crank pin out 3mm also with this kit!!!!

To bad you girly boys can't just handle a 450  I'm dreaming of a 670 kit for the 510 for my tight woods bike that way no one can see through the roost to pass me. I bet that 310 will be a real fun toy.

I'm guessing to Athena or your local Athena dealer.

Like i said, the kit is actually 298cc...however with th crank pin out 3mm (which gives a stroke of 61mm) and this kit you got 330cc !!!

this would be very costly as you would need to split the cases, unpress the crank, move the pin, reweld the crank, machine the lower cases for rod clearance (guessing), get a new con rod, new piston with relocated pin, make a new base gasket, and cross your fingers you can get it all balanced with all these changes. then you could start crossing your fingers that other components would hold up to the greatly exaggerated power (which on the husky it might). I think you would also want a bigger carb, and different exhaust. I think the 300 kit on bore alone would be enough. Or get a 450

Sorry, feeling giddy today.

Actually i usually dont like 450s...i prefer a 250-300cc or a +500cc machines, the 250 because they are "toys" and the +500 because they are power trains...i allways was and will be a guy that like things to be white or black and hate gray areas....a 450 is a big gray area for me   :worthy:

try the 450, 1 ride and I was hooked. Going from a 250 2 stroke wr to the 450te - awesome!

I have a 450 but a 310 kit on the 250 would be the bomb on tight single track IMHO. Who is selling that bad boy?
