I'm picking up my first Yamaha('07 YZ450)!! Is there anything besides a new chain that I need to get right away? I've been on Hondas forever, so I'm pretty fired up!

I didn't replace my chain until after I got the bike fully broken in. I didn't hammer it until break-in was completed so I thought the stocker would be fine. On the '06's the jetting needed to be tended to right away otherwise they're pretty good to go.

It's already at the dealer, I just can't get there 'till friday...Thanks for the compliment on my KX; I love that bike!

are you getting white or blue?

Blue...I've never had a blue bike. Black, red, green, white, but never blue. Yellow could be in the future, but not a Suzuki; just yellow on the Yami.

All you really need is a chain, that way you could also get away with using stock sprockets. Hmm, other than that nothing really, just make sure to go through and grease everything as soon as you get it (before you ride it), and have fun. I would throw a new front tire on it right away...a Michelin S-12 specifically, although that may not be the right tire for where you ride.

Thanks for the input guys!! After I grease her up and throw on a chain it's ride, ride, ride.....If only I didn't suck at that part.

Chain and front tire. I put on a DID ERT chain with white brother sprocket(one tooth up on rear) and a dunlop 756 to match the rear. I love it.Still waiting on my muffler(fmf ti. powercore).
