chain glide wear on swingarm?

does any one have an area on their swing arm that has been worn down by the chain slide guide? could i use slicone or something else to prevent any more wear? should i be concerned about this?

Yes, yes, and yes, to your questions. There are several ways to deal with this.

You can just glue it to the swing arm, or glue rubber under it, buy a $100 nylon slider, or you can Do it My Way

thanks very much for the info. did you use black gaskit maker or something like silikone to make your metal piece stick?

I used GM Silicone RTV sealer under the wear plate, but what really holds it down are the two slider bolts. The silicone just keeps stuff from getting under it.
