I'm 60, I started riding in 1970 on a 1969 DT1b. Next came a 250 Ossa SDR, then a wr400 Husqvarna. I rode that till 1979 and sold it to get a newer, bigger bike. I ended up with 19 years of withdrawls. I got back into riding in 1998 on a clapped out XT 350 Yamaha that I bought from a friend. I rode it till June of 99 and bought a new WR 400. Rode it till January of 03 when I got the Very first WR 450.(The first Thumpertalk member, that is). I sold the WR 400 to Zekedawg in Chico, Calif.

I am still riding the WR 450. I'd love an 07 WR 450, but I am not able to Dualsport a new bike here in Oregon, so I'm probably going to keep the 450 till either one of us is just too old to go anymore. or maybe Yamaha will get their $hit together and make a real dualsport bike. Not something lame like the TW 200. A real on/off road bike. I keep hoping that they do. If a semi small company like Husqvarna can do all of the stuff to make bikes that are EPA and street legal, then I don't see why the others don't or won't. So much for my age.

Jim

39, Been riding since I was 9. Thanks Dad.

It's been fun watching the transition from 2's to 4's. Never thought I would see a 4 beat a 2.
