What GPS?? Might get Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx

5 posts in this topic

I have looked at and read reviews on a ton of GPS units, and i think I like the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx. It's a little pricey, but looks to be worth it. What units are you using, and what are your likes, dislikes? I may also consider the Garmin Rino 530, because of it's 2-way radio feature.

I bought the 76 Csx because of the $100 rebate and the extra memory (128 Mb vs 64 Mb of the 60).

I love it.

I have been using a Garmen Legend ( black and grey screen) for the last few years. I just replaced it with a Legend CX (colored screen),it is unbelievable.I use it in my truck when we travel,on my street bike,on my dirt bike, and when back packing,I even use it for work.Do your research and remember you get what you pay for , don't go cheep.

I just got a Garmin GPSMAP 76 Csx too.

I missed the rebate though. :ride:

This GPS unit is designed for mapping and is very rugged since it was developed to be marketed to military units throughout the world. It's a “Mil-Spec” (military specification) GPS unit that has a screen that is big enough to read at 60mph off-road, is not sensitive to vibration, has a superior antenna, and is very tough. :applause:

Use a RAM Mount and you'll be good to go...
