7 posts in this topic

What is the process if the bike never has been titled that way. Just curious as I might upgrade from my L to an R.

I'm not sure, but there are a lot of already plated used bikes available if you are willing to travel a little.

I live in St. Louis and I picked mine up in Georgia laready plated. My bike is plated in Illinois because I move around a lot.

You might want to look at advrider. com in the thumper section I think a member there did the conversion and plated it in Illinois.

Or you can go to Baja Designs website and they have a list of what each state requires....

I bought my 03 from a guy that moved from Ill. He said he had to have it inspected by the cops and they give you a filled out form to give to BMV. Same thing I had to do here in Indiana.
