Valves and Cam Chain

Looking for the least expensive place to buy some intake valves and cam chain.

Any help is appreciated.

2003 XR650R

Service honda, with the TT store close behind. Service honda allow you to run the Honda application that they user at the dealer. Go to http://www.servicehonda.com/test/

I've bought a bunch of OEM stuff at Service Honda. Highly recommended.

Spend the bucks and install Kibblewhite valves and springs, they are much superior to the OEMs. The Honda OEM cam chain is the way to go.

Don't forget about the cam chain tensioner. The type on the XR600 is prone to wearing out. I had to replace mine a little over a year ago. It's a cam type ratching mechanism. It's not too expensive. If your bike is making chain slapping noises, that's the problem.

I've asked this before, anyway, I'm puzzled about reports of the cam chain tensioner wearing out. I have done a large number of XR engines, and have not seen a tensioner worn out. I have seen a couple of them damaged from a broken cam chain, but none worn out.

I just need to replace my intake valves. Thought I would do the cam chain whilst I was in there. Chain tensioner should be fine.

Anything else I should look at replacing while inside?
