Front Fork YZ450F 06, top-out spring?

5 posts in this topic

Anyone had trouble with to "soft" top-out springs. Makes "clink" feel like metal to metal. Changed the top-out spring but no. Comp and rebound set standard. Any suggestion?

It is my understanding that the pressure (or small top spring) manages the initial part of the fork action. For instance when you hit some braking bumps entering a corner. I doubt you are hearing a clinking sound from them.

The hot setup (per FC) on the past two CRF's I had was to go w/a lighter pressure spring. This mod really made the initial stroke plush. For some reason Honda had fairly stiff springs in there. Even for me at 225lbs. Do you guys know what comes stock in the YZF's? Has anyone talked to FC or other suspension tuners for a setup?
