Could be the stator coil. I have seen them be alright when cool but fail when the bike gets warmer.

yes, but the battey will run the ignition system for a long time before it drains..........

Fuel supply vent? If your running a "remote bottle" does it have a proper vent?

I've seen this problem when the gas cap vent was plugged before.

sounds like it could be fuel level related. I'd be checking the float level and needle and seat. Sounds like when it stops there is sufficient time for fuel to reenter the carby and then it can start again :ride:
