Parts sources...

I have little experience buying mc parts via mail order, usually go to dealers but have heard about "Japanese suppliers" that are sometimes half the price of us dealers. I´m going to be ordering some oem parts soon, anyone have any good suppliers to pass along?

Thanks

Mark..

Good question.I have brought this up many times before on this board.Yamaha oem parts are really expensive.I ride a honda now but will be buying a 07 yamaha. Most mail order places that sell oem are expensive.I have also noticed that the price is really high at some places compared to others.Im sure that somebody on this site has the hookup for oem parts but wont give it up.

Well'a, thanka kindly :ride:

I have ordered from www.mrcycles.com and have saved alot of money and good service.

Besides TT, North County Yamaha is about the best I have seen, in stock and less expensive than most.

TT store is by far the cheapest..parts for a complete rebuild (crank, gaskets, seals, valves, springs, retainers, and a whole bunch of other stuff...from the dealer about $1600 US. From the TT store about $900.00.

I just ordered parts for a complete rebuild, and found that the TT store (http://oem.thumpertalk.com) and University Motors (http://www.umotorsfargo.com)were cheapest...can't say either have been very fast with shipping though...

Yes, maybe TT is cheap, but seems every time I call them on something they are out of stock, so I go I allways end up going somewhere else.

Dude-Give them a day or two to get it. They will. My experience is it usually takes Harry 3 or 4 days to get the whole order together, then he ships it out. I mean, ya gotta wait for it anyway if you order from the dealer, and you're going to hav to wait for anything you order to clear customes anyway if it's not in a local warehouse...
