Wonder if we can use our old style speed pickup sensor with the Vapor?

Looks like the mount has connections for the other sensors, but hopefully we can just splice it in to the new harness. :excuseme:

sorry , might be a :excuseme: dumb question.

will it be easily fit on my dirt wheels and sm wheels ?

meaning will it be a real hassle if i were to switch back and forth between the 2 wheels . :busted:

I am doing exactly that, but chose to stick with a stock disk for the SM wheels for easier swapping. I'll bet you can figure out a changable setup if you are running a 320mm SM disk.

My Vapor is due to arrive today (Friday) :bonk:

i will using the 320mm disc for my sm wheels , and stock disc for my dirt.

so its a trouble to switch back and forth ?

or just stimple adjustment to the trailtech computor.

thanks guys

get another magnetic pick up bolt and you will be fine.

You will need one for each front wheel.

Two things:

1) You will be moving the caliper farther away from the disk mounting bolts for the 320mm SM rotor, so your sensor will have to be repositioned. Maybe the sensor could be mounted to the lower leg protector instead of to the caliper so that its position relative to the magnetic rotor bolt remains constant.

2) You have to reset the Vapor when you change wheel size; a minor hassle since you will have to re-enter all the settings. The odo and hour meter never rest to zero, but everything else gets lost. That's what is nice about the '06 stock digital speedo, nothing is lost when resetting wheel size.

AND FOR YOUR SAFETY: A 120mm wide SM tire may interfere with the lower fork protectors and the upper fork tube bottoms as the fork compresses, potentially causing the tire to lock and sending you over the bars. Trim the inner portion of the protectors and then either remove the plastic bands at the bottom of the upper fork legs or trim the tire tread edges because the stock 120mm tire width is the same the opening at the bottom of the upper fork legs.
