That was fun.....

Wonder how long it will last until they figure it out and lock the letter down....

Bonzai :)

I edited the letter and they wouldn't let me send it, they said my email address did not look right and closed me out with a site experation. I hope sombody else has better luck.

And I told them I was a tree hugger, go figure.

I made it on the second try and that was fun. I turned the whole letter around.

Now that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Made my day :)

You can use Control-C to copy the following and Control-V to paste it if you want a better starting point.

Re: Docket # RIN 0596-AB73 (Categorical Exclusions)

America's national forests are one of the country's most precious resources. Our forests are a haven for wildlife, place for solitude and recreation, and a heritage for our children. A heritage that I want my children to be able to enjoy. Please support the Forest Service in their efforts rollback restrictions on use of our national forests, by making it easier for the public to access these resources.

If adopted, this new directive would allow recreational activities in our national forests, which are severly restricted by one of the most oppresive conservation measures in decades -- the Roadless Area Conservation Rule. Millions of Americans have taken the time to submit public comments in opposition of this forest conservation policy, which keeps our forests open to the general public.

America's national forests need national access. This includes appropriate environmental review and public involvement in any decision regarding roadless areas. Accordingly, I strongly support this proposed directive.

Please consider these as official comments.

I copied Brads handywork, is there an E-mail address to send this to direct or do we have to go through the web site? :)

good one!

Here's my letter. That was fun!

America's national forests are one of the country's most precious resources. Our forests are a haven for wildlife, source of clean drinking water, place for solitude and recreation, and a heritage for our children. But now, the Forest Service is finally proposing, to heed the wishes of the people and make it easier for concerned and law abiding citizens to utilize these forests' most pristine areas.

If adopted, this new directive would allow commercial and recreational activities in our national forests, flatly prohibited by one of the most unpopular conservation measures in decades -- the Roadless Area Conservation Rule. America's national forests need national protection, not fanatically restrictive policies. This includes appropriate environmental review and public involvement in any decision regarding road and roadless areas. Accordingly, I strongly support this proposed directive.

Please consider these as official comments.

Knew this was a clever bunch of folks. Good work by all. You guys are an amazing group!!

I recieved a letter from a jane_danowitz@ourfoi thanking me for doing my part in saving our forest. I have a mind to email her and thanking her for making it possible to make my voice heard through her web site. But that may tip them off as to what we are doing.

I wonder if we can post on thier site more than once?

It just wouldn't be right if TT admin. didn't do their part! That was fun! Thanks guys! :)

I like it! But ................

We could be helping the enemy here.

Let's hope we aren't screwing ourselves. Editing this letter assumes someone (a government official no less) will actually READ the words and not just look at and count it as another vote for keeping the land closed to us.

Fingers crossed,

(told ya I'm old & fat & SLOW) :)

I just sent the letter (with the verbage from Darbsitton of course). I certainly hope a person actually reads the letters.

I certainly hope everyone on this site is an active, contributing, member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition. If your not JOIN NOW, or dont complain when the tree huggers win out and there is no place to ride.

That was a great catch! Also that was fun. Worked first time for me, just hit submit on the second page.
