Hi folks ! I have a pit bike with a YX 150 engine I stripped the top half and replaced the piston and replaced the two valves and gaskets every thing going great until when it came to set the timing ! I have flywheel at TDC and the YX end of the cam sprocket lined up to the arrow on the head but when I turn the engine over by hand the piston seems to be hitting the exhaust valve can anyone help this is wrecking my brain ! Thanks

Hello everyone im new here! I just finished building a 1980 yz50 for my son. I started a new project for me, its a 1977 yz400, got it running and it hauls ass but handles like crap compared to my 97 cr250. Now i want to put that motor in a newer frame. What frame would you recommend for the least mods? Keep in mind im vertically challenged also at 5'6 a lol

Hello need some serious help have a 2002 Yamaha yz426F and need to set it up for flat track racing need to know how to lower both front and rear suspension super close to the ground and what right size tires and wheels I need to start racing my yz426F please can use all advice as I can get thanks Andrew.

Also for flat track what's a good starting point on front and rear sprockets to give me more top end and more top speed thanks again Andrew.

Racetech could do your suspension if you tell them your racing flat track.

Your best bet would be to go to the flat track nearest you and ask around to find the right guy to help you out.

I've been to a lot of flat track races and have talked to the riders everyone is set up a little different but will check out Race tech and see what they can do for me thanks by the way. Also if you have any other advice on the flat track scene let me now of and adjustments are configurations four setting up a in spec flat tracker thanks Andrew.

Your bike are picture you posted is exactly what im going for I think both wheels have to be 19 inches both front and rear by flat track standards and all bolts safety wired up lots of rules the book is long but any thoughts are ideas on doing little simple modifications to improve performance and handling im all ears thinks Stevethe for picture.

Any suggestions on how to gear the front and rear sprockets witch would be set for high speeds for more top end power and more top speed out of the Yz426F please any advise would really help me out thanks Stevethe please get back with me .

Seems like your new and just starting out so try going up one tooth on the countershaft sprocket. That will get you a bit more speed. But once you get on the track you will likely need to re gear it once you figure out what works best.

Hello I have a 2007 yz250f and I blew it up (the bottom end) and while taking the sprocket off I chipped a piece of the casing off and behind the piece of the casing was either a ball bearing or a little bb and I thought nothing of it and tried to JB weld it back on but that did not work. I was wondering what this part is and what is the use for it I will past pictures to show what I am talking about thank you and I hope someone will help me by replying soon. If possible will someone help my by texting the answer to this to me at (707)357-2451 thank you very much
