More '89 xr600 questions

1. Anyone make a front braided line for it?

2. Anyone make a chain guide for it (non oem)?

3. Anyone know if the sprockets from other years are compatible? (I need a 40 tooth sprocket asap)

Russell makes brake lines for just about everything. The trick is to find a distributor/dealer that lists the one for your bike. I found that out when looking for a braided line for my XR650L. The catalog I use at my dealer didn't list it, so I bought one for an XR600......worked perfect. I think just about any year should work. The part number from Parts Unlimited is 09369, for the XR600.

40 tooth sprocket? Sprocket Specialists makes them for just about anything out there. There's a lot of compatibility between XR's of various years on rear sprockets.

Moose might have made an aftermarket chain guide.....I should look into into it, too, cuz the '87 I restoring needs one.

1. I think that there are several. Galfer comes to mind.

Try ebay item 4635164188 HONDA XR600 85-93 GALFER REAR SS BRAKE LINE KIT!!

2. You should have no probelm with the sprocket. The XR600 used 2 different styles, years 85-90 and years 91-00.

3. What's wrong with an OEM one? I'm sure that there are several. They may have the same year ranges as the rear sprock (85-90 and 91-00).
