05 wr450 starter bushings worn

Yamaha does not sell replacement bushings, just the brushes. Anyone find any that would fit???

Anyone have an extra starter to sell or know where to get one cheaper than the Yamaha dealer sells it for ($200 +)???

You can probally go to your local industrial motor repar shop and get bushings that are real close in dimentions. Just have to measure the casting and shaft size, but may half to cut it down if its to long. If its to loose in the casting, you can always pin prick it to tighten it up.

some one is cranking that starter way to much for it to be wore out already. Use the kick starter :ride:
