cleaning accelerator pump

2 posts in this topic

hello to all

what does it takes to clean WR426 2001 accelerator pump?

do i have to get the carburetor off, or can i do it on the bike?

what parts of removal it involve?

the problem is when i turn on the throttle fast (in neutral), sometimes it kills the engine. I can fill a delay in the carburetor reaction.

Take it off the bike completely, this means taking out the throttle cables.

Clean out all the carburettor with brake clean / contact cleaner / carb cleaner. It is all the same stuff.

This isn't your problem though, you sound like you are lean on the pilot circuit. Go to a bigger pilot jet and adjust the fuel screw.
