Golf Cart for NH Kevin and Taffy

15 posts in this topic

Probably about 6 months ago you guys responded to a question about sprak plugs for my golf cart. I finally got a picture of it scanned. Yeah, I know the look on my face is funny but you'd have the same look if you were in the seat!!

It's got the stock EZGO gas motor which is actually a 249CC Robin 2 stroke w/ a 21mm carb so it's not that powerfull. Top speed on hard pack is probably around 20mph. I got it stock for free and it had been rolled and the motor was siezed up. I rebuilt the motor, had a friend paint it, rebuilt and appolstered (sp?) the seat, cut of the stock front end and rebuilt/lifted it using coilovers, lifted the rear with coilovers, built front and rear bumpers, and mounted some lights for night time cruising.

Throw a Yamaha Triple out of a sled in that bad-boy and you're in business! That thing is way too cool! The links will never be the same. rolleyes.gif

Blue Thunder,

Man, you're right on. I almost picked up a 450cc (I think) 3 cylinder Rotax out of a sled about 2 years ago when I was just begining the rebuild but didn't have the cash. I still kick myself for not getting it. It was in a sled junk yard up in Boise Id. and they said they would sell it to me and even make sure it was running for $400.

Hello again Khris

Is there some room for a CBR600 in there? We run the CBR's in our Micro Sptints up here and with Alchohol for some go power. We are getting about 150 hp out of them. Should work in your golf cart.

What's that? A screaming yellow hippy? No, just a tree hugger.

I don't even know how to swing a club!!!!

Tree Hugger,

I've seen a green one out at Glamis with Viagra air brushed across the front. It had a 1100cc suzuki GSXR streetbike motor on MOS in it. He claimed that with the NOS he was in the 250HP area. He was running paddles and I saw him kill a CR500 with it!!

Ron,

I LOVE IT!!! Naw, I'll leave that one for a later trip. Maybe if we do an overnighter sometime I'll pull it out and we can mess with it then.
