does anyone now bout the 07 yam having fuel injection . i got a picture of transworld with a 450 racee bike (akira naritas) with fuel injection but am unsure if they will bring it out so early in the market. oh yeh and by the way im 75 kgs and 16yrs old and i own a crf250r should i upgrade to a yz450 or would i kill myself? im not sure? cos they look really good and its always AWESOME to hav that EXPLOSIVE! power. also do u think i would have less maintenance cos i wont be revvving it as hard to get power so my engine should last a bit longer in the season. so yeh i really want a 450 so let me hear wat u guys think.

I am a fast 125C Class rider and have a CRF250R, my dad owns a RMZ450 and I ride it with no problems. If you can ride your 250 good then you can handle a 450. But I like my 250 better because it is lighter and easier to start.

If you look in the past Yamaha has been sort of a rebel company or at least pioneers, they were the first to intro the modern thumper, first mono shock, and I think they even had an alum frame back in the 80's. I think that Yamaha will probably be the first to have fuel injection, but only time will tell. Just ride a 450 and see if you like it, thats the only way to find out if it's to much or not.

I think:

> Didn't we just get done speculating about the '06? This is worse than election politics.

> Any YZ450 will outlast a small fleet of CRF250's

> You might possibly kill yourself, although there may not necessarily be a motorcycle involved.

> You don't spell too well, even compared to a 16 year-old Yank, mate.

G'Day

There are less reliable cars out on your streets. A blown 450f is as rare as a LHD car down under.:thumbsup:

I took an 06 YZ450F for a few laps last week & will be getting rid of my 04250f asap. Very smooth & grunty. I have been told that the powerbomb type header that comes standard on the yz450 is an Australia only item that helps with the smooth power delivery. Can anyone tell me if the US 450's have this?

The powerbomb is stock everywhere except in North America, I have it on mine too. This bike feels so much smoother and lighter than my old 426 and 450
