So is resale on yz450's impossible or what?

i agree ride'm when you want, collect 'em like the misses collects shoes or purses. we all need a fetish right? then sell them when they are considered "Vintage" and all you can control is the newest hover-round electric wheel chair.

i guess that's one way to get what they are worth. it sure is nice to walk out to the barn and look at the collection even if you cant ride. still makes my blood pump on a shitty day.

I could not sum it up better than this - thanks :busted:

maybe we should be looking at buying old Elsinores or yz's from the 70s eh?

or a TM400

So since this is a thread on resale anyone want to throw out numbers on what a 2010 Techno worthy YZ450 will be worth after 12mos and 24mos? I realize California will be the only state that this will be 15% higher

my guess

12mos - 5200

24mos - 4300

:busted:

I'm seeing lots of '06s for 3500-4000 and '07 for 4500. Def a buyer's market.

man you Cali folks can still try to keep the resale mkt higher.....thanks:thumbsup:

I sold my 03 YZ450 for $3000 last month. You just have to be realistic about the prices. They are great bikes but whenever the next evolution of a bike comes out, it knocks the value down of the previous models.

Your very lucky to get that I bought a 2007 YZ450F 5 months ago for $3,000.

PK sold the bike in '06...this thread is old...or was old

LoL I almost posted the same thing about my 04 I was gonna be all like I didn't even get a call at 2500 so how is 3000 modest? Ya but then I noticed the date.:busted:

In Birmingham, AL. I found a 08 special ed. "white yz". pro moto billet bick stand, rekluse clutch, DR D pipe, asvs for 3800, that is a steal.

<25 hrs. 06 and 07 are going for 2500-2800. I got a 06 for 2300.

Its a buyers market.

just sold my 09 for 2900 bucks, it has 250 hours on it but looked new and was well maintained with fresh valves and piston when it sold

a 09 for 2900 ouch

so tell me a 2010 with 250hrs first year depreciation in 2011 will be around 3500? This makes me want to go spend 8k on one today......I don't think so:moon:

I have not been able to find a 06 for $2300!! I have found a 05 for $2k but wonder if the aluminum frame would be worth much more? I am in Fayetteville and the 05 is in Kansas City. Deer season is here and I wont be going up there. There is a 03 for $1850 that wont be too far out of my way to check out in the next few weeks.

The used market sucks for sellers here in Memphis. I've been trying to sell my XR400 and haven't had a call on it in 2 months. I have an 04 YZ450 that is set up great for the woods but I am wanting to get something new in the next year or so. Abernathy's in Union City, TN is selling leftover new 08 CRF450's and 08 YZ450's for $4394. It's definately a buyers market.

I dont know where you guys live.. But in NJ/NY It took a year to get $1900 for my old 04 and it was all race ready and fresh... :excuseme: Now i wana get rid of a race ready fresh 06 For $3000 I dont think its guna happen....

just sold my 06 yz450 for $2500 not to bad.. bought a 09 crf 450 left over for $5000
