Steel Sprockets and Staked Chains

Where do I get a steel sprocket for a BRP smaller then stock? I have had no luck.

Also what is the part number for a staked chain from DID...not the OEM part number but the aftermarket.

I think you just order a chain and request a staked master link. Do you have the tool to flatten the ends of the stakes on the master link. If not you should order one if you plan on staking all your chains from now on.

I've done alot of research on this subject, what I've found is that the Ironman Sprockets are at the top of the list, and the prices are very reasonable. Buy them here for a better price;

They ship pretty quick and I've had zero problems after 2 orders.

As for the chain, there are alot of choices but DID is one of the top brands. The stock chain is a DID 520VM 110 link. One of the strongest chains is the DID ERV series. There was an ERV2, but now they have an ERV3. These chains are EXPENSIVE, but about as heavy duty as you can get.

I've never bought from these guys, so who knows how they do business.

RK and Regina are some other options. Whatever you buy, get a chain with as high of tensile strength as you can.

Moose. Staked chain, DID VM X-ring.

I use afam AV steel 15 front and sunstar hardened steel 45 and 48 depending on the ride. As for the chain I use an EK Quadra-X ring 520MVXZ 750cc super sport. I have just over 18,000 on this setup and only adjusted the chain once. I have 81,371 klms on the BRP. I live in Nova Scotia and my riding is in everything but sand so they may not be good in sand. I just ordered more last thurs. Cleaning and chain guard lub is the key. Getting to another thing I ordered a rear TITAX ROTOR for the rear and it says it provides 30% more stopping power. Anyone out there try these yet.
