2003 yz450f oil level question

On my 450 when i went to change the oil the manual says to put in 2.7 quarts of oil i believe and so i think i got close to it when it came down to it. So yesterday when i went and fired it up and let it idle for the 3 minute time the manual says to iit shows it was way over the full lever. I know i was very close when i filled it because i went slowly and measured out the container to show where i need to stop. And yes im sure i got all the oil out of the crank and the frame. But what my question is will this have done damage to the bike? ?? ........i am taking some out till i get it right tonite

my 05 yz450f only holds 1 quart

should be 1.7 not 2.7 for a 2003-2005

Oil capacity:

Engine oil

Periodic oil change 1.0 L (0.88 Imp qt, 1.06 US qt)

With oil filter replacement 1.1 L (0.97 Imp qt, 1.16 US qt)

Total amount 1.2 L (1.06 Imp qt, 1.27 US qt)

oh my bad thats what i meant that why i said i believe....but do u think if it was over it would it have done any damage?

i always try to keep oil level on my 03 3/4 up on dip stick marks

This is what my manual says as well. The dip stick validates these amounts.

I do not think you have to worry too much about any damage....I am sure you had some oil blow by out of the tube...

Easy to drain if overfilled - just loosen frame drain....I keep mine on 1/2 to 3/4 on the dip stick.
