XR 600 spark plug wrench

Anyone know where I can get one cheap or has anyone made a wrench and can tell me how to make my own? The bike I have did not come with one and none of my sockets fit. The dealer wants $20 for a new wrench and the price seems a bit unreasonable for a simple socket.

Thanks!

I think an 18mm deep socket will work.

I have a deep socket that will fit the plug, but it cannot reach the plug due to the limited clearance between the motor and the plug itself.

maybe try a friend with a lathe and turn down a deep well socket.

cool, thanks!

I think an 18mm deep socket will work.

I bought one at Advance Auto parts that works, AmPro brand, 3/8 drive, I use a swivel ith it...

The OEM spark plug wrench is an amazing tool with various other important features, not the least of which is a large hex hole that alows you to remove the rear wheel. Get the OEM. I think the XR400 wrench will work as well, and may be cheaper. You can buy the whole tool kit (small as it may be) for just a couple bucks more than the cost of the wrench.
