A little, different, yes. The process for replacing the seals is listed here:

Again, this is different on the '05 and up YZ's and '06 WR's.

Note that once you get the fork tubes separated, you have gone as far as you absolutely have to, and there is no strict need to remove the base valves or damper cartridges except that it allows a better cleaning, if that's required. I generally don't do it just to replace a seal.
