Best Carb removal method?

Any tips to getting a carb out of a 98 WR400? The throttle cables look like they might be a pain to disconnect. Don't have a manual to look up procedure.

You have to remove the cover on the cables then loosen the nuts on the cables where they mount to the carb. After that you can get it off, it's easier with the subframe off also...

Once you get the cover off, you'll see that removing the cables is not that difficult. I've never taken the subframe off to remove the carb and it came off without much effort.

Just curious, why are you removing the carb? You can leave it on for some modifications, although it will likely be easier if you remove it.

That's always one of those things where you keep asking yourself, "would it really have been this much trouble to have done this job with the carb on (or, to have taken it off to do this job)?"
