Slip on's vs. complete exaust systems.

1 post in this topic

Back in the early to mid 80's slip on muffler's came in to being. I was working for a small motorcycle aftermarket parts store at the time and we sold many complete exaust system (headers) for all sorts of bikes. At the time we (people I worked with) thought of these slip on's as a cheap alternative to buying a real pipe. Now they seem real popular and I guess what i'm wondering is are people happy with this in complete exaust system? I know they arnt loseing much on the bottom end going this way. So what is every one's thought on this.
