426 Tranny Advice

Replaced a few gears & shift forks a year ago because fourth gear was gone.

It is gone again

I'm not sure what gears i changed when i did it. {i work on alot of bikes}

Anyway, aside from the fourth wheel & pinion gear...what else should i change ??? ?

The third wheel gear would most likely be obvious.

Is there somethging i'm missing, or a problem with the early 426's ?

Are the dogs worn? Or was the gear damaged?

I just replaced both 3rd and 4th gears and all 3 shift forks. I replaced all the circlips and washers as well.

I have about 25hr on it and its going strong.

Now that i have split the cases, I use the clutch more and dont smash the shifter!

I was considering cryogenically treating the parts but i was in too much of a rush to get the bike back together!

The cir clips & washers seem like a good idea as well ?
