Measuring exhaust noise from WR450

1 post in this topic

I have noticed following:

When you measure exhaust noise from WR450 in race checks and rev bike to 5200 rpm which is FIM enduro limit it will bang on the exhaust now and then.

This will cause more Db's than bike really produces while driving it.

Bike has a rev limiter and it works when bike is revved on neutral and this causes those bangs. Put gear on (this will give CDI-box information that gear is on and rev limiter moves rev limit higher) and keep clutch down while on sound check. This will lower your Db's.
