Problems with my hot start

2 posts in this topic

My hot start got all screwed up when I fell in a turn and kicked my carb to get the bike off of me. The plunger was stuck and the cable was full of slack. I took the plunger out and sprayed it with cleaner and put grease on the end. When it was out of the carb, the slack was gone and the action was smooth with the cable but once I screwed the plunger back in, the slack was back with the cable. What should I do?

The little plunger is hung up with the o-ring on the lip of the hole it goes into. You got to insure that you shove that plunger into its orifice all the way down (very X rated :bonk: ) before you screw your hot start nut back on . :applause:

I've been through this exact same thing.
