Throttle Stop on Euro model

Do the 01 WR426 Euro models have the throttle stop? Looking at the archives, this looks mainly like a US thing.

HI STEFE9999,

I HAVE A EURO WR400 Y2K MODEL,THE THROTTLE STOPS ARE THE SAME AS THE YZ TYPE ( THE SHORTER APPROX 23MM TYPE ). IF YOU DON'T KNOW

IT'S AT THE REAR / RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE

CARB AND SCREWS UP FROM THE BOTTOM . YOU CAN

REMOVE IT BY JUST REMOVING THE HT LEAD COIL

FROM WHERE IT MOUNTS ON THE FRAME , THIS

WILL GIVE YOU BETTER ACCESS .

I'M 99% SURE THAT I'VE READ SOMEWHERE ON THE

FORUM THAT THE 426'S ARE THE SAME .

I ALSO REMOVED THE RUBBER INTAKE BOOT FROM THE REAR OF THE CARB , OPERATED FULL THROTTLE

TO SEE THAT THE SLIDE DOES GO ALL THE WAY UP TO FULL THROTTLE.

HOPE THIS IS OF SOME HELP

Stefe, Your bike shouldnt have one, It's a US thing...

for what its worth my '99 WR had a shorty 'stock'.

The Missile

'99 WR400F

Airbox Lid - gone

Throttle Stop - shorty!

Plastics/Tank/Seat - One Industries

Street Legal

i can't believe yamaha have changed things since my bike in '99, but the throttle stop is effective when the slide gets about .5mm from the top of the carb boy. so there is no benefit in removing it.

Taffy

I pulled back the boot and watched the slide as best I could see it, It goes at least 95% open. I think the US ones were only about 50% open right?

Don't think I need the mod.

I heard somewhere that you're not supposed to run anything shorter than the YZ stop. It confuses the TPS.
