Yosh Pro Comp, Afterburner or Pro Circuit Pipe???

I am interested in what works and improved performance and am not concerned about noise!!

It's idiotic thinking like this, that will be our demise. If you people don't pull your head out of your a$$es, none of us will have places to ride. Remember, you Mensa's, there are more people that don't like dirt bikes, than there are dirt bike riders. Everytime a loud pipe pi$$es off one of them, they are that closer to getting involved to shutting us down. It just baffles me when people think like this.

You my friend are elgible for the Darwin Award.

Your in Cali and say you don't care about noise? If I ran across an idiot like you, I'd let my wife bioch slap you till your other testacle droped finally.

Your just plain stupid, and the root of our shrinking riding lands. Do us all a favor and huck it over a tripple without making it all the way......... :bonk:

I'm normally laid back, but chumps like you bring out the worst in me......... That's all I gotta say before............... :applause:

I couldn't agree with you more...only I think you were way to nice!.

What an idiot.

even so called "quiet" pipes make a lot of power, and still sound good.

and your friends and ears will thank you after a 100 mile ride.

Pro Circuit T4, power on the whole powerband!!

I hope your loud bike breaks the engine in half. then I won't have to listen to your bike in the future. no wonder the db laws have been changed. like the rest of us don't know that louder is sometimes faster. get a faster quieter bike. yes it can be done but not by 18 years old newby riders. I will bet my bike is both faster and quieter. sorry but ignorance is going to cost us all our sport. bob

Come on - spill the beans, what you got?

I bet you mine is faster!

Golly-Gee-Whiz....Can't figger out why you get dirty looks when you ride your bike? :bonk:

OK I'll bite..... I'll compare dyno sheets and DB meter results with ya :applause:

:applause: My WR450F is way more powerful than your XR80! it is an 83 model!

I don't know how you could possibly think that has more power! :bonk:

But I have an XR100 air filter on it :applause::cry: Don't make me get my 1974 Suzuki TS185 out and open a can o' whoop ass :bonk:

Wow you have a strong desire to never ride again don't you. If we do not get the noise level down we will only be able to enjoy our bikes sitting in the garage. Please, please, please get quite pipes. Its not just for you but for everyone who rides.

Why have a quiet pipe if it doesn't give you maximum performance?

Why go out and waste your money?

EXACTLY! AND VERY WELL SAID! Why buy an aftermarket pipe that doesn't improve performance? Just leave the stock quiet system on the bike and ride it! If the factories would build an exhaust system that performed well and was quiet there would be no reason to buy these noisey POS aftermarket systems. Luckily Yamaha got enough crap about building the garbage exhaust and from the ride reports I see in the magazines builds a quiet pipe(this year) that does perform very good. Unfoutunatley there are quite a few years of Yamaha thumpers out there that leave the owner with no choice, but to replace the factory system. It's just ashame that there are alot of guys who when given a choice of a 96DB system(Q type) or a 102DB system will choose the louder pipe because they think that loud = fast

Some people from what I have read here do think that! I just don't see why when ever a pipe question comes up, people tend to slam anyone that thinks that a "performance" pipe is best.

The answer is easy.... Cuz most performance pipes are obnoxiously loud and there's no reason for it. I have an Akrapovic system on my SXC and it will pass a sound test @96DB EASY! If you read the pipe tests in the magazines the Akra systems and a few others make as much or MORE HP than the loud systems and are reasonably quiet. If the 100 + DB's that these hillbilly systems made would stay inside the helmet of the rider I say" Go for it!" . The problem is.... Everybody around you also has to listen to it. Some will say... I have the right to make noise if I want! Well what if I say the same thing and follow you around with one of those hand held air horns and blast away while your eating dinner, or enjoying time with your kids or reading, ect. Is that OK? I doubt it. There has to be some form of personal responsibility and respect for others. I'm not even talking about tree huggers. I can't stand being in a riding area parking lot and here comes some DUMB A$$ with a "White Bros" can on his Honda 400EX or some Free Style wanna be on a YZ450 with what might as well be an open pipe. Learn to ride your bike with a stock system and put the money into getting your suspention setup properly or get a steering stabilizer with the money a pipe would have cost you. I GUARANTEE those item will make you a faster rider. A loud pipe will only make you THINK you are a faster rider. There are no personal attacks in what I wrote towards any TT Member.

I'm guessing 95% of us can't ride our bikes to their fullest ponetial with the stock quiet pipe.....

The noise does get to you a bit after a while (once the novelty of tripling your horsepower wears off :applause:)

Man you are in a fantasy world. Tripling your hp?????? I hope by your 15th birthday your attitude towards being an obnoxious f changes

625 sxc as far as quiet power you may win as the akrapovic was not around when I built my ported megacycle cammed fcr41 arias high compression 96 620 that weighs the same as my 04 542cc 13 to one compression 39mm inlet head(from an 02) I have 2 uptite pipes with supertraps, one stainless muzzy and several big guns for the 620. your 625 is nice but heavy and still has the gap from first to second and no sixth. pull the counterbalancer from your bike and you will like the hit better. I take mine on and off depending what I am doing. the 98mm bore rfs is going to get a 101.5 cylinder and cases bored when I wear out the current JE piston and ring. I learned sometime ago that there is always someone faster, richer, smarter with a bigger **** and a prettier girl if you look hard enough. my 620 is in the corner of the garage as the 541 is a much better easier ride and I am old. no offense meant as the power to ground is the important thing. I have intentionally detuned the peak power with many changes for low rpm hit like my old 500 twostrokes. if the bike is revved the gyro effect makes it hard to turn doesn't it. unless racing your friends is your idea of a good ride. mine is easier to ride fast on the desert floor and fireroads. bob

Yeah mate I got 150hp..................

If I was 15, no way in the world would I be wasting my time here reading your 1st post, I would be pulling myself stupid! Porn is much more interesting to a 15 year old. :applause:

Can you hear my pipe from over there??? No one here can hear it.

What pipe have you got? I put the stock pipe back on my bike for something to do, what a slug! I can say yes, I can ride the bike to the fullest potential with the stock pipe for the type riding I do, which is a lot of high speed, free flowing tracks, flat track, and enduro style tracks.

Changing the pipe makes riding easier, just ask my girl with her WR250. It had no bottom end, took off aka 2 stroke style in the mid and signed off power early. No with her 98dB GYT-R propower slip-on, it has oodles of bottom, oodles of mid, oodles of top. I have a bit of trouble keeping up with her now in the tight stuff.

OK, But when is enough...enough? I can certainly make due with 55RWHP on a 290lb bike(my 625SXC). A few weeks ago I spent the day on a 2003 KTM 250EXC RFS with a 300cc kit. That bike was a BLAST. Plenty fast and alot of fun to ride. In fact we have so much fun on our little bikes. Me and my buddies will hop on our kids 50's and 80's and race around the yard for hours at a time. If somebody is so competitive that they need to add the newest and latest parts just so they can be "a little faster" then mabey they need to step back and ask yourself why? Go hop on some XR80's with your buddies and you'll see why you started to ride...... The pure enjoyment of two wheels :applause:
