steering stabilizers

8 posts in this topic

Allright guys, I buying my own Xmas gift and am trying to decide between Scott's and GPR stabilizers.. :p

Allready have a applied top clamp(anyone want to buy it??)

Cause I'm thinkin about getting a forward mount kit...

Have to change clamps to do that... :p

the amount between the 2 is almost 200 bones........... :applause:

Is the Scott's really a better piece ?? :ride:

Any one with real experience of the two would be nice to hear about it...

I guess i really don't need the fwd mount style but would make it easier to check oil and change...

Called Scott's today, talked to Steve real helpful guy, but he's a salesman.

It seems the Scott's has better control and better valving action???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..:p

I have GPR on my KX500 and XR650R. They work fine, I have been totally happy. I am thinking of trying a Scotts on my KDX220 or my 525exc. They are both great products. I have ridden bikes with the scotts and didn't even notice (meaning the stabilizer was working and I never gave it a thought).

Both units are great.

If you had ever met/dealt with Randy at GPR, you would definately go with them. Call and talk to him. If you don't go with the V2, he would probably trade out your trip clamp for the right one.

Best customer service in the motorcycle business. :applause:

I agree with that statement. When I purchased mine they offered a lifetime warrantee. So I get mine serviced for free. I just pay the shipping. They used to upgrade my units for free but I'm not sure that is still available.

I have the forward tower from BRPIT and the Scotts , truly awesome :applause: , it really helps prevent from getting off at 80 + MPH. As for price, well i got a real deal from a dealer discount. Scott's is proven and it works.Just turn it off in the sand. You will crash.......
