suspension setup?

any suggestions on spring set up for a 220lb rider. 98 xr600r, it feels good but on jumps feels like its bottoming out, dont know whats on there now or how to tell if its stock or not (Im a little green :applause: but willing to learn)....anyway what to buy and how to adjust?????

.45kg/mm fork springs and 11kg/mm shock spring would be for 220pound person. The stock .39kg/mm fork springs are for 140 pound rider and the stock 9.8kg/mm shock spring is for 160 pound rider. Stock shock spring should be yellow. Lots of riders change the XR600R fork fluid to tranny fluid (7wt) you have to know what level you want.

Set your race sag to 4" no less the 3.75"
