A few pics from todays 100 mile ride.

Well...94.66 miles on the Trailtech to be exact.

We start south of las Vegas, in the Nelson NV area. Single track to the FAA com towers at Nelson, Fire-roads and 4 wheeler trails to Searchlight NV, where we gassed and ate and Mcdonalds (bleh).

Then, trails, single track and washes in a giant loop back to Nelson.

Here is the directory for the pics.. I didnt take the time to resize them...they are gigantic.

Great pics, I like them "Gigantic"..

I'm gonna take a guess at the years of the WRs you guys have....

I see:

2-1999 WR400s

1-2000 WR400

2-2004 WR450s (your buddies might be an 03, hard to tell)

1-2005 WR450 (tell your buddy to ditch the pipe) no wonder you think the 05s are slow... :banghead:

Nobody representing a 426?

Good times....... :banghead:

Looks like a nice ride. Did anybody track it with GPS? We should share tracks on TT so others could follow the route.

There WAS a 426 for the first half of the ride...there was also a 2 stroke ATK....

but they turned back early for one reason or another.

nice seeing all blue. nice pics!

Sweet pics man. Looks like a helluva ride. Are all of you guys about the same skill level? Thanks for postin em up. :banghead:

A few of the riders...me included have been riding less than a year...(BUT, we ride at LEAST once a week, and sometimes twice a week...so even the new riders are getting damn good)..

The ATK rider has been riding maybe 15 years...and we have riders everywhere in between.

There were a few obnoxious climbing sections that myself and one of the newer riders had to do twice...while the more experienced riders just sailed right up.

But then again, there were a few sections that i sailed over, and one of the seasoned riders turfed it and broke his throttle tube (we can be seen fixing the throttle tube in the moon rocks picture).

Here is some illustrations to give an idea of where we were going.

Both pics are from the same vantage point, the FAA towers. THe first pic is looking north up the 93...toward vegas, and we can see the gravel pit where the trucks are parked.

ANd here, looking the opposite direction, we look south down the 93 and see the hill that is hiding the town of Searchlight.

From there, we cut to the west side of the 93, and behind that mountain range...coming back near the dry lake bed that is seen in the first pic.

Nice Pics! Searchlight huh? I read a story about a guy who claimed to own the town of searchlight... I guess he owns the mineral rights....so.... he essentially owns the town... of course, the people there have been fighting it tooth and nail for sometime now. While I'd hate to see people kicked off land they "own", it's really not theirs... of course, that's ultimately for a judge to decide.

Later! :banghead:

Cool pics thanks for sharing. Gotta love days like those.

Nice pic's :applause: Looks like you guys had a good ride.

If you ever want to come up here I'll show what single track really is.

Thanks for showing the single track (although it still looked pretty clean!). I was gonna mention to ARin something about not seeing any single track in the pics (which were great by the way!). We have serious single track here in New England. ;-)

Thanks for shring the pics ARin!
