Rebound damping question

4 posts in this topic

I have 800klms on my new bike. I find on the road when i brake the forks dip big time. I am 240 pounds\ 110 kilos. I have screwed in the compression damping in nearly all the way and that has helped. My question is what about the rebound adjustment? Should i also screw it right in or back it off?

In what situation would you want to loosen or tighten that screw? cheers.

It controls how fast your forks return when compressed. The more dampening the slower it will return to the top. If the bike springs back too fast or bucks ,you would use more.
