RMZ 250 top speed?

What is the top speed of an RMZ 250 with stock everything? What is the top speed with a 50- tooth rear sproket?

does anyone care what the top speed is?

not really, im sure its the same as a 125 like around 70mph though

Fast enough to get you A$$ hurt!

I didn't ask if anyone cared. I asked what it was. So meybe you shouldn't say $hit if you don't know gray151. I don't really give a $hit if you care or not! I got a RMZ 450 and i know that it does 120-125 km/h with a 49 tooth sprocket. I was wondering if it would even be worth my while to get a RMZ250 or just stick with my RM 125

It dont matter cause I am pretty sure no one is hitting top speed on the bike anyways unless your a pro even then it is probably doubtful..

I got it going as fast I could on a paved road today and I would say 55 mph, not meant for a high top speed it is a motocross bike.

I was doing around 65 mph on my 04 and I was at about half throttle, but the only thing is it has a white bros on it, but the gearing is stock. Two stroke 125's are almost obsolete when it comes to racing. I would definetly buy the rmz 250 it doesnt matter what the top speed is though because you will most likely never get going that fast on a track.

54 MPH 5th gear WFO on a Police radar gun.Racer X radared Ricky 4th gear on a 450 at 44MPH.A stock RM-Z may hit 55 with a tail wind.Of course my `86 YZ490 would do `bout 130, all stock with flat tires and in need of a `ringen. But that was back in the day, when we wore leather helmets.

Racer X clocked Ricky through the Millville woop section as I remember, he was flying.

If you were going that fast half thottle then i wish i had your bike..

i dont think i even hit all the gears yet since i only ride supercross/motocross style tracks haha...havent taken y bike out for trails yet..i might go to the desert (jawbone)thanksgiving so it should kick ass i cant wait...first time taking my 4-stroke out there im gunna love the good gas milage too

85-90 km/h stock "tuff" guy, why does it matter, if your looking for speed by a street bike, these bikes are geared for acceleration. Now go take your dirtbike and wind the crap out of it, its really good for it.

The rmz 250 doesnt have good over rev so half throttle is almost top speed I might of gotten up to 70.

Thanks for the input. I'll be picking up my 250 as soon as another one comes in. Can't wait to go for a ride :banghead:

I know with stock gearing, it is way too slow. I already added a tooth up front and now am wondering about dropping in the rear 1 or 2.

Not sure how the MX guys fair with stock gearing but in cross country, it was topping out too quick.

No freakin way it does over 60. My DRZ400S is cookin at 60 and it is geared to the moon.

yea stock rmzs are really slow but mine passes 250 2strokes in straights so yea...no its not stock lol but rmzs are really nice bikes

What the hell are u talking about on the rmz 450 only hitting 44mph your on some sort of crack or something!!!!!!! dude u need to do some homework on your bikes before posting in these forums, Just so u know my 2006 piped rmz450 hits 65 no problem at all with not even topping out, thats pretty much hlf throttle in fourth. Oh and a yz490 with the stock sprocket only hits 90 not 130. and u can get any bike to do 130 with a small ass sprocket on there like a 44 or 45 tooth.

So to the guy wanting to know about your top speed get a speed sensor and what ever the top speed is take off some wind dated mph and theres your top speed. If your into going fast get a 46 tooth sprocket but you'll loose all your bottom end. So its pretty pointless on a motocross bike.
