Oil Cooler Connection

4 posts in this topic

the easiest place I have seen, is where the oil lines enter the frame

You mean cut the metal line to route it from the engine to the cooler, then from the cooler back to the metal line which goes to the frame reservoir?

I believe it would be much easier to have the lines made up by a hydraulic-fitting shop, and just screw your fittings into the frame, and to the cooler, just like the factory would do it ... I've found hydraulic supply shops in most good-sized cities that will make up lines for you quite inexpensively ... the shops I've used (CIR- California Industrial Rubber, .. a chain out here in CA) .. have all the necessary metric fittings, etc ... even will make up stainless steel wrapped hoses, etc... Tip: if using a shop like that to make up brake hoses, they will balk because of liability ... tell them with a wink that the hoses are for hydraulic clutches, etc... :banghead:
