Oil Site on XR650R

9 posts in this topic

While looking for speedometor components that I'm selling, I found some extra oil site tube kits I put together a ways back when I made them for my bikes and for some friends. Here'e a picture of one of my kits installed if that help you decide on a location.

it's a dipstick.

it's on top of the frame right between the handlebars and the gas tank.

Check the level after the engine is warmed up and has been idleing for about 20 to 30 seconds for an accurate level reading.

Can anyone provide details of how to apply the oil site tube to the bike? (Drill size, fittings and hose (material) & size. I would like to apply to my piggy but don't want to pay $90 or more.

Thanks
