Did Yamaha Blow it? For me it did!

The dealers told me no bikes till Jan 2006! I cannot get the bike broken in and set up here in the Northeast by Feb or even March. That blows using the bike for Qualifiers and early races. If I go with another brand I have sept- Dec to set it up. I want a Yamaha. How do you guys feel?

Website still says OCtober on the 250f and november on the 450f. Dealers are already getting the 125 and 250 2 strokes in stock now.

so where did you hear this? Is you dealer saying that they have a waiting list and you are way down there? If so, find another dealer. Screw them

This is my problem too... but more because it'd be nice to be able to use that 30 day warranty to de-bug anything and in the northest, winter isn't always filled with riding time! And I am seeing November now for the 250F and yes, January for the 450!

Where are you getting these dates from? That sucks.

I am having trouble waiting also and I work at a dealer. The order confirmation shows November for the shipments to start. I am first on the list but we will sell to our customers first before I get mine. Maybe January for me. I get the 2 or 3 year warranty on my bikes everytime I get a new one. When I sell the bike I transfer the Warranty to the new owner. Thanks Mark

I just got off the phone with our local dealer. I told him that there was talk about the 450's not being available till January and he said that his order sheet is still showing November. He has not heard anything about them being pushed back.

I can wait as long as needed, but it will be impatiently.

Try to recall that the new YZF's were originally not going to be released until the '07 model year. January is still earlier than that.

Darryl

my dealer told me they be in oct 5 up in ohio if i want to come up and test it they dont take more t hen a month to break in belive just got my 05 but know i want the 06

Check out my other posts.

Don't go by the website. Listen to your dealer. Dealer originally told me (in July) that the first 450F would be in his shop mid-November and next couple in December or January. Come late August, when I sold my '04CRF, he tells me that first will be in December and the next allotment won't be available until late Jan/earlyFeb. Being 3rd on the list & without a bike, I made an executive decision to buy an '06 CRF. I really wanted to try the YZF, but I also really wanted to ride/race this fall and winter.

I feel bad for my Yamaha dealer. The lost sales are racking up daily!

I live in south Arkansas and the dealers here are saying end of October, I am trying to wait and not go red.

Im kinda upset at the situation as well. They could just set a release date and stick to it, whether it be January or not, it would be nice to know.

I want to sell my bike before the release, so its not another year old in the buyers eyes, but I dont want to get rid of it and then end up waiting another 2 months.

Yamaha should just be honest and say "This is the date they will arrive" and quit this silly secretive business. Im absolutely certain they have an internal release date scheduled in their factory, they are just choosing to be turds to the public.

Dealer is also telling me January for the first 450 to come in.If I didnt get the bike at cost I would probably be heading down to the Honda dealer for a 06CRF450.It is going to really suck trying to get the bike set up in less than a month.
