Sometimes coolant is leaking through small hole below water pump housing located on crankcase cover (right). Anyone know why ?

must be the water pump seal or shaft or both.all easy fixes

Yes, you have a blown water pump seal.

i'm having the same problem as well. I know that i need the oil and water seal and the impeller shaft. I see the shaft and oil seal on this diagram but i dont see which one the water seal would be.

#4 is your "water seal" ,#5 is your "oil seal" . Buy those 2 seals along with shaft and bearing #6 . Problems Gone !!!! :applause:

ya...same problem...sorry to dredge up this old thread, but i searched first!!...lol....so how do you know which you've blown?? why do these blow in the first place?? i just put the whole bike back together after my motard build and i was riding up and down the block...it started to dribble water out of the little hole....you don't always need a shaft do you?
